Depressor supercilli
is a relatively small muscle at the corner of the eyebrow that originates near the root of the nose and inserts near the inner corner of the eyebrow. This muscle acts to lower the inner corner of the eyebrow and form horizontal wrinkles at the root of the nose. It most often acts together with orbicularis oculi, corrugator and procerus, or levator labii superioris, aleque nasi. It is innervated by the facial nerve (VII) and is supplied with blood by the facial artery. |
